About Peter, for Peter, something something

Okay so I came up with the arrow idea so he could look like an Avatar, but these pictures are all Peter!

Isn't the above picture perfect? Look at his little arms?

Another post from me, for me, about me

Waiting at BJ's for a seat.

Relaxing by the pool. Giving my sister the famous Platypus face.
My sister does this thing with her lips she calls platypus. Google a picture of a platypus if you're interested and you'll see the striking resemblance. My sister is hilarious. She is a photographer and has managed to take pics with herself and many others giving her this unique look. I keep telling her she needs to make a collage or something of platypus faces. I feel honored to now have one to add to her collection. I think I should have worn lipstick. The pic with me and the phone reminds me that I'm getting older. I see so many wrinkles, and my blasted neck wtih all it's folds. But I say that in minor annoyance. I find it sort of fascinating to watch my face age. I'm not really complaining about my wrinkles: sure it'd be nice if my face looked twenty-one forever, but then I'd be twenty-one forever. Honestly, life is an experience and I'm glad I'm still at it. So these wrinkles are more like my battle scars of life. I'm so optimistic, eh?
Anywhoo, thank you sis for taking pics of me. I like myself. LOL

Peter's first day of First grade and the Tooth Fairy

Daddy driving Peter to school. What a Dad!

Don't ask me... this is ALL Peter. I don't know where he gets it from. LOL

Bonus picture of Andrew saying, "Geegeegeegee."

I don't know that I have any good first day of school stories. All went smoothy. Peter knew exactly what he wanted to wear. He was very excited about getting dressed for school. Isaw a couple of his old classmates after school and they exclaimed to me, "Peter got a haircut!" I guess he looks different. teehee
OH, Peter lost his second tooth on the third day of school. It's spectacular. So let me tell you about the Tooth Fairy.
The Tooth Fairy lives up in the sky. She comes down to your home. She has two pockets. The top pocket is where the teeth are held. The bottom pocket is for her money. She is very strong. She has to be very strong because she is smaller than a tiny butterfly. This is what Peter told Randall and myself. Awesome. I love my kid.

We bought a couch

Check out this kids nostrils. craaazy.

Peter doing his camera magic. Me, sweating.

Isn't Randall handsome... I mean... keep on task, Sara.
So we bought a couch. Wow. It changes the whole feel of our living room. It's more formal than our futon, ack, our futon. Our futon was very functional as we had to sell our furniture in ID to keep us through our unemployed period (in case anyone wondered how we had money, the current lack of worldy possession is one of the answers.)
But we've been in TX now for 6 months and I deceded it was time to have my apartment feel more home-like. (I know, your home is where your heart is, but I don't consider my apartment my home: it's not mine. When I live in a place where I can make my own repairs, then I will call it my home.) Anyway, I went on Craigslist and found this fantastic couch. Yay for Craigslist. We can now seat our entire family. I could actually have someone come over and I can see them when we talk (it's hard to chat with someone when you sitting the same direction.)
So the conclusion is this: most of the time you live and work and save so you can get your house, have a down paymet, pay off debt, biuld your savings, etc etc etc. And sometimes you do things for sanity's sake. Here's to my sanity. I feel I've earned it.

Tooth Fairy

It finally happened. My big boy lost his first tooth. When he first informed me that

his tooth was wobbly I got teary eyed. My boy is growing up! He starts first grade on Monday and we are all so excited. And now he gets to run around showing his Kindergarten friends (now his first grade friends) his new toothy smile. He sticks his tongue through the hole and whistles something FIERCE! What a KID! And see, his hair is nice and fuzzy for school. So handsome.

Return Missionaries

Ken bo? Magillicuty? I don't know... my relations

Woah. I didn't notice how much they looked alike. It's a baby version of Dad!

Randall is definitely looking at the camera

Blake... teehee... he just makes me laugh.

Randall's parents just finished their second mission to Santa Domingo. On their way back home to ID they purposely made a five hour layover in TX so they could see their family. We met at Red Robin, ate (way too much of course), and chatted (never enough of course). It was so great to be able to see them and talk with them. It will be wonderful to have them around again. It reminds me how wonderful it is to have amazing in-laws. From parents to siblings, Randall's family is the perfect family to be forcefully attached. Welcome home Mom and Dad, I hope your house wasn't too destroyed by us.

Happy Happy Birthday

My 28th Birthday

My birthday finished right. Randall took the boys shopping while I showered and dressed in my new birthday shirt my Mom got for me. Now side note: Mom, if you're reading this, see how it's almost the same? Another side note: My mom got me a shirt but it was too big, so I returned it and ended up getting a shirt that looked a little different, but want my mom to know she did a good job picking out a shirt.
Randall got me the jumbo muffin pan which is the perfect size for tasty blueberry muffins. Andrew got me the yo-yo ball which is awesome because I use to have one but lost it in CA. He also got me the Mokey Love birthday card. Peter got me a very beautiful necklace that I will never take off because it was near impossible to work the clasp. Side note: I know these are just pics of me, but I wasn't the one weilding the camera so don't blame me. Other side note: Kari, here are my 28 pics.

Avatar

We drove a family home from church a few Sunday's ago. In the car Peter started laughing and pointed at the husband's head and began to taunt saying, "You're bald! You're bald!" Fast forward to one week later and Peter is running around the house telling me, "I want to be bald! I want to be bald! Just like that guy in our car!" There were three more weeks left of summer so I thought I could shave his head and still have him look proper by the time school started. I took him into my bathroom and started shaving away. This is the only picture I have that my sister took, but the hair gets even cooler. As I was shaving his head I thought it would be cool to do this mohawk. Then after the mohawk I realized I could make the front look like an arrow and Peer would look like Avatar: the Last Airbender, Ang. Ang has a bald head and blue arrows on his arms, legs, and head. To shave shave I went and let him run around for a few days as Ang.
That next Monday I took the boys to the Kids Klub at the gym while I taught. When I went to pick they boys up one of the workers told me a girl saw Peter, got totally flustered, ran up to the worker and said, "Is that Ang?! Is that Ang?! Is he an Avatar?" lol good times. Making crazy memories.

Rosemeade with Aunt Kari

We did do other things this summer beyond be in the water but it seems that the only pictures I took this summer were either at the pool or at the park. So not to be too boring, here are a few more water-pics.

She must work out

I know this is vain but I wanted to show off my arms a bit. I have been working out pretty hard for the last few months. For those who don't know I have become an aerobics instructor for LA Fitess and teach Aquafit as well as Bootcamp. It's nice to see a change with all my hard work. I still have a ways to go as far as personal goals but at least I am getting there.
And of course Blake is just hilarious in these shots. He has the most beautiful red hair and is at an age where everything is so much fun.

Birthday Boys

I hope that Peter and Randall's birthday was a success. I think it went well. Peter and Randall both got some awesome books from Melanie, the book guru, Randall got the best shirt in the world from me and Peter got Pokemon and Bakugan. Though, the best birthday fun was going to Chuck E Cheeses later that week. We KILLED it! We had dinner at Randall's brother's home, which was just wonderful because my kitchen was a mess from all the baking. I made some tasty blueberry muffins for the first time on top of the cupcakes and the cake. I love my boys and I just hope they felt loved.
I remember the first time someone told me Randall came off as quiet. I laughed so hard. If anyone knows Randall they know he's a TALKER, a joker, and a bit of a flirt (as my college friends can attest to). So it took a bit of convincing and observation before I realized I had married a man that wasn't terribly social and outgoing. Around his family and friends Randall can just be the center of conversation. But he isn't the best at instigating social events or being terribly thrilled to attend one. He also is quite political and enjoys his daily dose of Rush, Beck, and Hannity (to name a few). I just like to say, he definately doesn't like socialism *cough cough Obama cough cough* So when I saw this shirt I knew it was a perfect match. I love my Randallicious. I'm so blessed.

This pic is pretty sweet.

I love that Peter is making a wish.

Thankgoodness I was just pretending. That would not have been pleasant.

The two birthday boys.

Randall already has both so I don't know why he'd need a book. lol

Peter is very intent on figuring out the title of this book.

I don't know why we haven't nick-named him Cookie Monster.

This is Andrew's bear Chris that stayed with him when he had his tonsils removed.

Peter's birthday cupcakes in his favortite color.

The boys made this as their birthday present to Randall. Yellow cake, strawberry marshmellow filling, vanilla frosting, peanut butter chocolate cookies crumbled on top, nilla cookies, and 32 candles. *phew* That was a mouth-full. And no, it wasn't tasty.

Waterpark

I took the boys to the local waterpark for Peter's birthday. Here are some of the captured moments.
Peter claims he was not being a superhero, but you decide.

Andrew is actually smiling, but the sun was in his eyes. I tried to block the light and this was the result.

Too bad there are bars blocking his gut. It's pretty spectacular.
Andrew looks regal.
